By Plane:

Boston Logan Airport (BOS): Take the C&J bus from the terminals. This is the most comfortable and convenient way to find a ride directly from Logan airport to Dover, NH. This wonderful bus service will pick you up right at the terminal at Logan airport and shuttle you to the Dover, NH bus station. It’s very comfortable and provides complimentary bottled water and WiFi. Unfortunately, the Amtrak Downeaster train does not pick up at Logan airport. If you wish to take the Amtrak directly to UNH campus or to downtown Dover, you will need to find a way from the airport to Boston’s North Station at TD Garden.

Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (MHT) — car or limo service (45 min)

Portland International Jetport (PWM) — connected by Amtrak Downeaster or car (90 min)

Portsmouth International Airport at Pease (PSM) — connected by car or Wildcat Transit/Pease Trolley(30 min)

By Train:

The Amtrak Downeaster offers five daily roundtrips between Boston’s North Station, Dover and Portsmouth NH, Portland, Freeport and Brunswick Maine. The train stops at the Durham-UNH Train Station/Dairy Bar directly in the center of campus. If you are staying in Dover, the train station is downtown.

Unfortunately, the Amtrak does not pick up at Logan airport. If you wish to take the Amtrak directly to UNH campus or to downtown Dover, you will need to find a way from the airport to Boston’s North Station at TD Garden.

By Bus:

C&J Bus Lines offers service from Boston South Station, Logan Airport, and NYC to two regional park and rides each approximately 10 miles from campus:

Greyhound – Greyhound offers scheduled service between downtown Boston (South Station) and downtown Portsmouth (Market Square). Connect to Durham from Market Square using Wildcat Transit Route 4.

If you are traveling from Dover to Durham’s UNH campus, there will be a shuttle service from the Comfort Inn Suites hotel, or you may take the Wildcat Transit Route 3 connection. 

Driving to Durham, NH:

From I-95 North: Take US-4 west toward Dover (this veers off to the left). Take exit 6N from NH-16 North/US-4 West toward Dover. At the exit’s light, turn left and continue to follow US-4 West for about 11 miles. Then exit on the right to turn left onto NH-108 South into Durham.

From I-95 South: Take exit 5 to merge onto NH-16 N/US-4 W toward Newington/Dover. Take exit 6N from NH-16 North/US-4 West toward Dover. At the exit’s light, turn left and continue to follow US-4 West for about 11 miles. Then exit on the right to turn left onto NH-108 South into Durham.

From Manchester, NH Regional Airport: Take I-293 S to NH-101 E and follow signs for Portsmouth/Seacoast for 19 miles. Take exit 7 for NH-125 toward Epping/Kingston. Continue on NH-125 North until you get to the Lee traffic circle. At the traffic circle, take the first exit on the right onto US-4 East. Turn right onto NH-155A and follow signs for UNH/Durham.
